KSA GCSE students celebrate fantastic results

Thursday 25 August 2022

King Solomon Academy is celebrating fantastic GCSE results. After the last few years of challenges posed by the pandemic, this was the first cohort to sit external exams since 2019. Whilst the national picture for grades were corrected from the elevated school based grades of 2021, at KSA, the results were higher than any of 2019, 2020 or 2021. The cohort have done an amazing job, and we are grateful to their parents and teachers for supporting them so well.

Overall, 81% of the cohort received grades 5 or above in both English and Maths. The Maths results were particularly impressive, with 57% of grades being at or above a 7 and an average grade across all students of 6.4.

The results represent great progress since the pupils entered Secondary school.

Amongst the happy students were Nathan (below), who achieved a spectacular nine Grade 9s and three Grade 8s.

Laith, below, achieved seven Grade 9s, two 8s and two 6s and is ready to study sciences and Economics at KSA Sixth Form.

Ihab followed in his sisters' academic footsteps with a stellar set of results.  Achieving four grade 9s, two grade 8s and three grade 7s.

Walid, below, achieved great grades including 9s in Science, English Literature and History. Zainab, below, also did a brilliant job including an 8 in French and a 9 in Spanish.

One of the students who did the best in terms of progress in Secondary was Sahera, who achieved fantastic grades including Grade 8s in English Language and Maths.

Our GCSE students will now be progressing to Sixth Form. The majority are choosing to stay at KSA for Sixth Form, aiming to follow in the footsteps of the class of 2022 (whose Sixth Form outcomes are highlighted here)
