Message from our Principal, Mr Haimendorf OBE
Welcome to King Solomon Academy. Our school is defined by our mission to provide all pupils who attend KSA with the choice at 18 years of age to attend a selective university and be able to be happy and successful both while they study and after they graduate. We are creating not only a school, but a community of pupils, parents and teachers brought together by their shared dedication to doing whatever it takes to achieve success.
Our academy has the highest academic aspirations whilst maintaining a caring, family-orientated culture. As Principal, I aim to know each and every family well and commit to getting to know each pupil individually, and to ensuring that each pupil leads a happy and successful life here.
Our curriculum is academic. We focus on English and Mathematics as the foundations for all learning. Our academic enrichment activities such as our specialist orchestra programme and our Shakespeare productions give our pupils life-changing opportunities. As an all-through academy, we are pleased to now be welcoming pupils from our own primary school and working relentlessly to fulfil the promise of a university education that we make to each of our families.
We are one school with two sites. At the Younger Years Site we benefit from excellent outdoor space where pupils can enjoy a space full of joy and activity. Pupils move to the Older Years Site in Year 5, where they benefit from a wider range of academic and extra-curricular facilities. The journey through the school is a seamless where pupils feel known and cared for the 14 or so years that they are with us.
To realise our hopes and dreams for the academy we ask more of ourselves and more of our parents and pupils. This shared commitment and ambition is what makes our school special.
We hope you enjoy reading more about the academy and I look forward to meeting you.
