Pupils, parents and Staff at King Solomon Academy are celebrating the outcome of the full inspection that took place on 5th and 6th December 2023. King Solomon Academy has been graded as Outstanding.

This was the first inspection under the current Ofsted framework which places particular emphasis on the quality of the curriculum. The standard of what is meant by Outstanding is now higher than it was when the school was last inspected in 2013.

The inspection found that the Quality of Education was Outstanding, stating that “the school has designed and refined a curriculum of exceptional quality”.

The Personal Development was graded Outstanding, noting that “every activity that pupils experience has been deliberately planned”.

The Behaviour and Attitudes was graded Outstanding, stating pupils learn in “calm and focused classrooms, where respect is fostered and pupils are polite to one another”.

Leadership and Management was also graded Outstanding, the report noting  leaders’ high expectations of staff and the rigorous support that staff receive.

The Early Years provision is seen by the leaders and governors of KSA as the foundation on which our school community is built. Inspectors were extremely positive about the Early Years provision noting the educational impact of the nursery building and provision since the opening of the new Nursery building. Early Years was also graded Outstanding.

Lastly, the Sixth Form was also graded Outstanding, given the attainment and destinations that pupils achieve. KSA’s own secondary pupils and those who have studied elsewhere all make exceptional progress through the final two years of the journey through the school to university and beyond.

Shayma Benslama, Student President, shared her pride in the achievement of the school and in particularly the Sixth Form: “It means a lot for the hard work of the pupils to be recognised. We feel this especially in Sixth Form and be able to feel proud knowing that we are Outstanding! It really motivates us to carry on being a great Sixth Form and a great school."

Executive Principal Max Haimendorf thanked parents for all their support during the inspection and their ongoing commitment to the school community. “We are grateful of the hard work and support of our parents, the excellence of our staff and the joy and ambition of our pupils. Everyone at KSA is proud to receive the school’s successful report from Ofsted.”

Pupils enjoyed celebrating and showing gratitude for the success of the school with staff and parents. The inspection report can be found here.
