The Class of 2024 have been celebrating a fantastic set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results today. Our ninth cohort of Sixth Form students maintained a strong academic performance with 30% of all grades being A*s and As. There was particular celebration amongst the Business BTEC cohort as every single student on the triple and double award courses achieved the highest grades of Distinction and Distinction* - equivalent to achieving A grades at A Level.
KSA Sixth Form continued our strong track record of sending students to top university and apprenticeship destinations. As ever, most students (currently 84% confirmed) will be going on to study at selective, highly selective and super universities meaning that they have secured places on the most competitive courses in the country. This includes students going on to study at Oxford, The London School of Economics, UCL, Durham, Nottingham and King’s College London.
Shayma, one of the Student Presidents for Class of 2024, is going to read Politics and International Relations at University College London said:
I am really excited to reach the next step and go on to a dream university. I am going to be studying what I enjoy most and what has inspired me to work hard at Sixth Form. I can’t wait to get started!
Nathan is going to read Biochemistry at St Johns College, Oxford. He has been inspired by studying sciences since starting with the school in reception and said:
I decided to choose to study Biochemistry because I wanted to gain greater insights into diverse topics such as the nature of disease and how this impacts everything around us.
Khodr, Kareem and Elias have all won places on highly competitive apprenticeship schemes after getting through the rigorous selection processes during Yr13.
Elias chose the apprenticeship over university because:
‘I am really looking forward to the networking opportunities that being in the working world will provide and am attracted to the apprenticeship route because it will start to build my experience in the financial world, enabling me to progress in my chosen career.’
We are incredibly proud of all of our Year 13 students and wish them all the very best for their next step and will celebrate with them and the rest of the school on 19th September at the Summit Celebration.
Well done everyone!
We look forward to celebrating GCSE results with Year 11s next Thursday 22nd August and signing up our new cohort of sixth formers!
