Year 12 Oxford Trip

Monday 18 November 2019

5 Year 12 students who are considering applying to Oxford attended a trip to find out more about what the University of Oxford had to offer. As part of the trip, they heard about the application process and had tours around our link college Magdalen and Hertford. They also heard an excellent lecture by Tammie Bishop, who was part of the Nobel Prize winning team in 2019 who discovered how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability. Jokubas (Year 12 student) said that the students found the visit really inspiring as seeing this historic university for themselves has motivated them to aim for the very top universities.

This trip is part of a wider range of activities which make up our Oxbridge Application Preparation Programme, which includes visits, support with pre-interview assessments and interviews.
