Year 6 Trip to the TfL Museum

Monday 13 January 2020

On Wednesday and Thursday of the first week back, Year 6 attended the Westminster Junior Citizenship Scheme at the Transport for London Museum in Convent Garden. Pupils attended workshop sessions from various agencies across the city aimed at helping to keep them safe as they transition to secondary school and growing independence including the police and fire service.

Throughout the afternoon pupils learnt about a variety of topics including etiquette on TfL service and how to travel for just £3 a year; the dangers of knife crime; how to stay safe around dogs; where to get a new smoke alarm for their house if their one breaks; and the effects and dangers of drugs.

The pupils were able to engage with essential topics thanks to the great volunteers leading each of the sessions and are now more prepared for the wider world.
