Year 4 Anglo-Saxons Experience Day

Year 4 had an amazing day experiencing the daily life of Anglo-Saxons. The king of North Umbria issued a call to Arms and our pupils had to choose whether they will join the fyrd ( the battle), or refuse and face the consequences.
Together pupils explored an Anglo Saxon house, fought in a battle and heard the epic tale of Beowulf and Grendel.
