Primary Pupil Leadership Roles

Friday 27 September 2019

We are delighted to have appointed a number of important primary leadership roles in each class from Year 1 to Year 6. Pupils wrote letters of application to their class teachers and were chosen accordingly. These roles will last for the whole Autumn term so there will be an opportunity for more pupils to put themselves forward for a January start. We will certainly be aiming to recruit more Y5 and Y6 boys into leadership roles next term. Children can be identified by their leaders’ badges which they should be wearing at all times at the academy!

One Class Ambassador: Represents the class at all time and is a role model to their peers, welcoming guests and acting as a trusted pupil for a range of important activities throughout the school day.

Two Reading Ambassadors: Support the rest of the class in finding books they love reading, keep the reading corner looking beautiful and share recommendations from pupils and staff as well as giving advice on new books to buy for class libraries.

One School Council (Y1-Y4) OR Student Leader (Y5-Y11): Represents the year group in the wider school community working to make the school a better place for everyone to learn in and enjoy.

In addition to these three public facing roles, there are a number of other important class leadership roles including Resource Manager, Activity Leader (Juniors only) and Timetable Monitor.

There are many pupils Leading the Way at KSA! We look forward to seeing the impact they have in their roles over the weeks ahead. Congratulations to all.
