Kings Scholars Trip
Monday 14 October 2019
25 Year 8 pupils who are part of the Kings Scholars programme visited Kings College London on Tuesday 8th October. On this day, they found out more about the different characteristics of a university and had the opportunity to work in teams to design their own university, choosing a name, slogan, logo, architecture and specialism. During the day, they used metacognitive skills to help them with the tasks. At the end of the day, they had to create an advert to advertise their university, with the winning team each winning a book to take home. Ms Al-Hariri, Head of University and Careers Service says ‘The day was a great way for pupils in Middle School to find out more about universities and understand choices they will have to make such as which course to pick or whether to take a year abroad. Spending time with current Kings students was a great way for pupils to ask questions on these topics’.
