Junk Modelling Orchestra

On Friday 28th November every Reception child became a musician! As part of our topic ‘How does our world change?’, the children took part in a ‘Junk Modelling Orchestra’ workshop, where they learnt about clever ways to reuse and re-cycle. The children enthusiastically experimented with design, joining and construction when creating their own drums, shakers and trumpets. As a grand finale the children and adults all gathered in the hall for a ‘jamming session’ where everyone explored rhythm and beat using their home-made instruments. The sound was incredible! Treasure-Rae said, “That was the best, I can play my trumpet so so loud!” added, Lilly added “When we all shook together it was just like rain!”
