Half-way to University Celebration
Yesterday, Year 6 marked an important milestone on their journey up the mountain as they reached the half-way point to university. Dressed in graduation gowns and DIY mortar boards, the Class of 2027 took the opportunity to reflect on where they have been and where they are going; how they can continue to work together and aim high as they develop as people and as students.
The current public health situation meant this year’s celebrations had to be marked in a slightly different way to normal, with bubbles gathering to join an online celebration with their peers working from home and across the school. Both Ms Humphreys and Ms Deeks spoke to the pupils about their time throughout primary and their journey into the secondary phase of the school and the Year 6 staff team reflected on an unusual but enjoyable year with the Class of 2027.
Pupils shared their favourite memories from their time in the primary phase of the school (with the trip to Sayers Croft and new friends made in the merger of KSA & APG both featuring heavily) and enjoyed photos from the past. It was wonderful to see how pupils had grown over the years and these wonderful memories brought smiles to the faces of everyone watching.
Congratulations to the Class of 2027 on graduating from Primary! We look forward to continue working with you on your journey as you climb the mountain to University!
