The Class of 2017 reach the top of the mountain: A level success!

King Solomon Academy is celebrating our second cohort of A level results. 87% of our Year 13 students have gained places at their first or second choice universities including Imperial College, Warwick, LSE, King's College, Leeds, Reading, SOAS, Sussex, Kent and many others! We are supporting the final few pupils confirm their choices in the coming days and are confident 100% of the cohort will be heading off to a university of their choice this year to study courses they are excited about.

77% of the A level grades are at or above C grade (compared to 57% last year) and just under half of all grades are A*, A or B grades (47%, compared to 31% last year).

Many pupils are overjoyed by their achievements and what the future holds for them over the next few years at university.

Nadia Zaman achieved A*, A, A, A and is delighted to be taking up the place she has worked exceptionally hard for, to study Medicine at Imperial College. She has also secured a very generous bursary, through the Ark network, which will support her financially throughout all three years of her degree study. Nadia was featured in the Evening Standard.

Zein Jawad achieved A*, A, B and is heading off to Warwick to study his dream subject: Psychology. Alaa Musa is over the moon to be going to Leeds to study chemistry with her A level grades of B, B, C.

Our first cohort of students on the Business Studies Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma have been hugely successful: they have all accepted places at their first choice universities including Sussex, City and Nottingham. Fahad Ridha, who had already made the most progress in the school between Year 7 and Year 11, is extremely proud to have achieved D*D*D (the equivalent of more than 3 As at A level) and is excited to be going to Sussex to study Business Management with an Ark bursary.
