Vision and Values of KSA Sixth Form

Sixth Form Vision and Values

We know that the most successful students are those that feel happy and supported which allows them to develop and an interest in and passion for their subjects.

The King Solomon Academy vision and values reflect the mission of the whole school, from Nursery all the way through to Sixth Form:

To provide a rigorous and transformational education that allows our students to be successful at university and beyond.

Our vision for you when you join our Sixth Form is that after two years with us you will not only have the fantastic academic qualifications to access some of the best universities and careers in the world but that you feel happy and confident to make the most of your time at university and be in control of your future career. While academic excellence and fantastic teaching and learning is central to our Sixth Form, we know that to achieve our vision we need to provide much more than this. We achieve this through our five pillars of:

Academic excellence

Excellent teaching provided by committed and outstanding teachers all of whom have been successful at top universities. Outside of lesson your time is structured so that you are in an environment where you can study independently to be successful.

Subject passion

Lessons that inspire you to learn more outside of the classroom. This is supported by subject visits and Sixth Form experiences that encourage you to go above and beyond the course syllabus. The Foundations of Undergraduate Study sessions, outside speakers and independent study guidance that all aim to make learning inspirational.

University readiness

Every week students have tailored support with the process of accessing top universities. Student Progress Tutors lead university preparation sessions and a dedicated university and careers advisor meets with students at least once every half term.

Leveraging London

There are opportunities every week to use our Central London location to develop your subject interest and give you direct experience of attending a top university. Our students attend programmes at LSE, SOAS, UCL, King’s College and Imperial and our teachers will organise visits to various subject-related events in London.

Community leadership

Our Sixth Formers are role models for our younger students and the wider community. There are opportunities to regularly volunteer in the school and we also run charity events to support local and national causes.
