On Saturday 22nd April 2023, 103 pupils from King Solomon Academy signed up to complete the London Mini Marathon. Participants from reception all the way to sixth form raced one mile of the official London Marathon Course finishing by Buckingham Palace! The money raised from this race will go towards sports equipment or a special sports event for the school.
Mr Harry Willis was interviewed by Jake Wightman (1,500 metre world champion) for BBC news which aired during the official London Marathon programme. Watch the interview to see a couple of familiar faces from KSA primary! King Solomon Academy had some of the most children to take part in the event this year and the children were delighted to receive a medal for their efforts at the finish line.
